Thank you for generously donating to support the Florida food banks' relief efforts. Your gift will help us continue this work on the ground and provide resoures to those affected by Hurricanes Ian and Nicole.
2.2 million Floridians lack proper food access. Of those, over 660,000 are children. In the aftermath of this year's hurricanes, those numbers have grown as many impacted families are left wondering where their next meal will come from. For Giving Tuesday this year, the Florida Pediatric Foundation (FPF), the charitable foundation of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FCAAP), is raising funds to support Florida’s food banks in their hurricane relief efforts through donations to Feeding Florida.
If you want to work one of the local food banks more closely or see their efforts, you can find them on this page: https://www.feedingflorida.org/florida-food-banks.
To help our food banks serve families in need:
As the only network capable of ramping up 300% during times of natural disaster, Feeding Florida’s food banks have the capacity and supplies needed to provide aid to people across the state. Through its partnership with the Division of Emergency Management, Feeding Florida can assist the State Emergency Response Team immediately, providing life-changing supplies such as pallets of water, ready-to-eat meals, and more. Our food banks are also within these communities, supporting families and individuals with food and resources for the long run as they rebuild their lives.
This means your support helps those in the communities directly affected by the storms. With your help, we can make a difference. Make a donation of any size to Feeding Florida from now until Giving Tuesday, and together, we can help children in Florida have access to healthy food and other much-needed resources during current hurricane recovery efforts.
Thank you for your kindness and helping us support Florida’s kids to be happy, safe, and healthy!
