TooJay’s Deli September Cake Sales Take a Slice Out of Hunger

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (August 28, 2019) – TooJay’s Deli is taking a slice out of hunger during the month of September with one dollar from every slice of cake sold directly benefitting Feeding Florida.

Feeding Florida is a statewide network of Feeding America food banks providing a healthy, adequate and consistent food supply to those in need. Every dollar donated provides 11 meals through the Feeding Florida network.

Guests can also add a donation to their checks in September. TooJay’s will donate up to $10,000 during the month-long campaign.

“Enjoying the cakes from our bakery has never been more meaningful than it is during Hunger Action Month in September,” said Max Piet, president and CEO of TooJay’s. “We are proud to extend our continued support to Feeding Florida in the fight against food insecurity in our great state.”

“It’s partnerships like this that allow Feeding Florida’s statewide network of food banks to continue providing food to the 2.8 million Floridians facing hunger and food insecurity,” said Robin Safley, Executive Director of Feeding Florida. “We are grateful for TooJay’s continued support to help us put an end to hunger in Florida.”

Kids 12 and under can get in on the action too this year by picking up a Super Hero Coloring Sheet with a Kids Eat Free coupon for a future visit with one paid adult entrée while supplies last. The deal is valid for dine in guests only and expires on October 13, 2019.
